50–200 t cement silos

Vertical cement silos with nominal capacities of 50, 100, 150 and 200 tonnes for enclosed storage of cement, fly ash and compatible mineral powders at concrete batching plants. Capacity is selected from material consumption, delivery interval, number of binders and the required operating reserve.

The silo system can include the shell and cone, support legs, pneumatic filling pipe, top filter, pressure-relief valve, level indicators, flow-aid devices, outlet gate and screw-conveyor connection. Final dimensions, foundation loads and accessories depend on material bulk density and the approved project configuration.

Overview

Product purpose

TANKER cement silos provide protected bulk-powder storage and controlled discharge to a batching plant. They are used for cement, fly ash and selected mineral additions whose flow and aeration characteristics have been confirmed.

Model selection

The 50 t model suits small plants or additional binder storage. The 100 t model is a common general-purpose size. The 150 t and 200 t models increase reserve for high daily consumption or longer delivery intervals. Nominal tonnage is based on a reference bulk density; the final usable mass varies with the actual powder.

Main components

  • Silo shell and lower cone.

  • Support legs, cross-bracing and anchor assemblies.

  • Pneumatic filling pipe and tanker connection.

  • Top dust filter and pressure-relief protection.

  • High- and low-level indicators.

  • Aeration pads or other project-selected flow aids.

  • Manual or pneumatic outlet gate and screw-conveyor flange.

Bolted and welded construction

Bolted sections are selected where transport dimensions require containerized delivery and assembly on site. Welded construction may be used when transport limits permit. The final joint design, sealing method and corrosion-protection system are defined in the supply specification.

Foundation and installation

The foundation must be engineered for the filled silo mass, wind, seismic conditions and local soil data. Installation requires a suitable crane, controlled lifting points, verified vertical alignment, anchor tightening and safe access to the filter and level equipment.

Standard and optional scope

Options can include different filters, pressure sensors, level devices, aeration equipment, screw conveyors, safety ladders and platforms. The quotation must state which accessories, electrical items and erection work are included.

Maintenance and spare parts

Inspect the filter, pressure-relief valve, pipe connections, fasteners, seals, level indicators, flow aids, outlet gate and screw interface. Keep the filling system dry and never pressurize a silo outside the approved operating procedure.

Information required for quotation

Provide powder types and bulk densities, daily consumption, delivery interval, required reserve, tanker unloading data, site wind and seismic conditions, foundation responsibility and the screw-conveyor arrangement.
